A Track & Field Athlete. Jumping for the stars.
Hunter is a three-time Paralympic medalist sprinter redefining what it means to be an athlete, entrepreneur, and trailblazer – setting a new tone for the next generation of dreamers and athletes. Hunter had his legs amputated below the knee at 11 months old and became the first-ever double amputee to earn an NCAA Division 1 scholarship. Unlike many young athletes, Hunter was dealt an unimaginable hand – a congenital defect called ‘fibular hemimelia’ that destined him to never walk. So, he decided to run instead.
As a member of Give Squad, Hunter took inspiration from his wife, a professional long-jumper and decided it was worth giving a shot. He says, “I wanted to see what it’s actually like sprinting full speed and flying as far as you can. Of course my competitive nature comes out, and I want to see how far I can go. I knew it would be a physical and mental challenge for me, and that’s exciting.”
